What is Singer Skills?
Singer Skills is an online voice training platform created by internationally-renowned voice teacher Lotte Janssen. With your Singer Skills Membership, you'll get hours of content that you can stream anywhere, anytime. In your own time, on any device. With 10-20 min tutorials you’ll work on acquiring all the skills a singer needs. From a healthy vocal technique to gaining more confidence as a singer. Improve your breathing, vocal strength, flexibility and pitch. The mental and emotional side of the singer is also very important in Lotte's teaching. New videos are added every two weeks.
What will I learn?
The power of Singer Skills is not about some magic secret concept. All the information you could ever need to become a great singer is available for free online, in theory. But too much information can be as confusing as too little information.
Singer Skills will guide you. Will provide quality voice training in an organized manner. It'll teach you things you didn't even know you wanted to learn! So the real value is in the skills you’ll develop, step by step. Getting in shape and understanding and growing on the way, with joy. Celebrating your voice.
How do I start with Singer Skills?
When you first start your membership, I highly recommend starting with the Lesson Plan, because it really covers all the basics. It provides an organized training program ready to follow step by step.
The second option is to search or browse through all videos and to practice whatever you feel like. If you know what you need and want, that's great! All Singer Skills videos are designed to work on their own. This is also a great option if you're a voice teacher looking for inspiration or information on a specific subject.
I'm a professional singer. Will Singer Skills be useful to me?
Professional singers use Singer Skills as a tool to stay in shape AND as a tool to get inspiration for their own teaching and/or practice. The best way to find out if Singer Skills is right for you is to try it out. Singer Skills is suitable for all levels
I'm a beginning singer. Is Singer Skills for me?
Yes! It will give you a world of information and tools to study and progress. And if (a part of) a video is too difficult for you, no worries! You can always get back to it. Singer Skills is suitable for all levels
Do I still need a singing teacher?
SInger Skills is a wonderful tool to study the voice. But a real person listening to you remains absolutely necessary in singing. Online or in person. Every singer studies to become their own teacher, in a way, that is an important goal. And you can get very far! But we all need someone to give feedback on how we're doing. Even if it's just occasionally.
Singer Skills will make person-to-person coaching by Lotte available. Expected in 2022.
BILLING AND ACCOUNT QUESTIONS
How do I reset my password?
On the login page, click Forgot Password, enter the email associated with your account, and click Send Instructions. The instruction email will arrive in your inbox shortly. In the instruction email, click Reset Password and you will be directed to select a new password before being redirected to the catalog page.
How do I change my password?
Once signed into your account, you can change your password by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Password and update your password.
How do I update my billing information?
Once signed into your account, you can update your billing information by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Billing and update your billing information.
How do I cancel my recurring subscription?
You can cancel at anytime. Here's how to:
Go to your purchase email.
Go to your order details.
Click 'cancel subscription'.
Can I pay with iDEAL?

My credit card is being declined. Why is that?
Many credit/debit cards have online purchase restrictions. If your card is being declined, please contact your credit card company to let them know the purchase you would like to make is valid. Also, certain credit/debit cards do not allow for recurring subscription billing, and therefore, may be denied.
My video does not playback smoothly. How can I fix this?
Video playback depends on several factors. To improve your playback experience, make sure you have a fast, stable internet connection. We recommend using the most recent version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. You may experience playback issues with outdated devices and browsers.
Can I watch videos using Chromecast and AirPlay?
Yes! Both Chromecast and Airplay are compatible with our site.
To use Chromecast: Locate the Chromecast icon in the bottom right corner of the video you want to cast. Click the icon and select the correct Chromecast from the pop-up in your browser.
To use AirPlay: Open the video on your apple device and click the AirPlay icon in the bottom left corner.
Can I watch videos on my TV without using an app?
Yes. By connecting your laptop directly to your TV with an HDMI cable, you will be able to watch videos from our site on your TV.
Can I watch videos on my phone or tablet without using an app?
Yes. Our website adapts to phone and tablet browsers so you can watch our content anywhere!
Which browsers are supported?
While we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, we also support Firefox and Safari browser released within the last five years. You may experience playback issues when using an out of date browser or any version of Internet Explorer.
